Cuisine: Indian
Ingredients:
Plantains (green banana) – 8
Onion (finely chopped) – 5
Chickpea flour – 5 tablespoons
Ginger garlic paste – 2 teaspoons
Green chilli (finely chopped) – 4
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Chili powder – ½ teaspoon
Garam masala – ½ teaspoon
Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon
Salt – as required
Coriander leaves (chopped) – 1 tablespoon
Curry leaves (chopped) – 1 tablespoon
Oil – 1 tablespoon + for shallow frying

Method:
Chop the plantains into 2 pieces along with the peel and boil them in a pressure cooker until soft. Then peel them and grate them into a pulp. In a pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil and add cumin seeds and green chili. Then add chopped onion and fry until golden brown. Then add ginger garlic paste and fry until the raw smell goes. Then add salt, chili powder, garam masala, and turmeric powder. Mix well and add chickpea flour, coriander leaves, and curry leaves. Add this mixture to the grated plantains and mix well. Now, form this mixture into small balls and press them flat. The patties should be ¾ cm in thickness. Press these patties in rava and shallow oil fry on medium flame until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with mint chutney.
