MASALA FISH FRY

Ingredients:

Fish slices – ½ kg

Salt – as required

Chilli powder – 4 teaspoons

Garam masala – 1 teaspoon

Coriander seed powder – 1 ½ teaspoons

Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon

Ginger garlic paste – 2 teaspoons

Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon

Oil – for shallow frying

Roasted curry leaves – for garnishing




Method:

In a bowl, combine salt, chili powder, garam masala, coriander seed powder, cumin powder, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice. Make it into a thick paste by using a little water. Apply this paste to the fish slices and marinate for 1 hour. Take a tawa/skillet and heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Drop 2 marinated fish slices into the hot oil. After they turn into golden brown, flip to the other side and fry. Once the fish slices turn golden brown on both sides, remove them from the tawa/skillet. Similarly, fry the rest of the marinated fish slices. Garnish with roasted curry leaves and serve hot.
