GARLIC PEPPER PRAWNS

Ingredients:

Prawns (de-shelled & de-veined) – 250g

Garlic cloves – 20

Curry leaves – 2 sprigs

Green chili (slit) – 3

Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon

Salt – as required

Black pepper powder – 1 teaspoon

Coconut oil – 4 tablespoons

Lemon Juice – 2 teaspoons

 



Method:

  1. Marinate the prawns with turmeric powder and salt. Keep aside for 10–15 minutes.

  2. Heat oil in a pan.

  3. Add garlic, curry leaves and green chilies. Fry until the garlic turns aromatic and lightly golden.

  4. Add the marinated prawns and cook on medium heat.

  5. Continue cooking until the prawns are cooked through and release water.

  6. Cook further until all the released water evaporates and the mixture becomes dry.

  7. Fry until the prawns turn slightly golden brown.

  8. Add pepper powder and mix well.

  9. Add lemon juice and stir for a few seconds.

  10. Serve hot as a side dish with rice.
